The above screen shot, as the note indicates, is of the option page of our rpsoft 2000 blackjack game for 6:5 blackjack usage.

While the options are many in number, usage of them is still quite simple.  An option bar on the upper right allows the gamer to select which basic game they wish to play.

Primary Game Selections

  • blackjack ("_normal")

  • 6-5 blackjack payout

  • double diamond blackjack

  • hit & double anytime

  • Spanish 21 6 deck

  • Spanish 21 8 deck

  • super fun 21 single deck

  • surrender anytime.

Selecting any of these main choices by just scrolling down and setting the bar to that choice, will set up the desired minor options below.  Therefore, for 6:5 blackjack you need not know all of the rules that you are allowed in it, if you do not wish.  The software program remembers them and pre-sets that information.  In this case it changes the payout for a player blackjack and also changes the number of decks in play to single deck.

What is 6:5 Blackjack?

Many players prefer single deck blackjack.  However, casinos find that multi deck blackjack games such as 6 deck give the house more favorable odds than single deck blackjack.  Some casinos have tried to provide single deck blackjack but by changing the payout on a player blackjack from 1.5 to 1 to 1.2 to 1.  The ratio of 1.2 to 1 is mathematically the same as 6:5 blackjack, hence the name.  This means that if the player bets $10 and receives a blackjack, that they would be paid $12 by the dealer ($22 total - if we include the original bet) rather than $15 by the dealer ($25 total including the original bet).

The facts of 6:5 blackjack are that the odds are actually even more in the favor of the house (casino) than a 6 deck blackjack game.  But of course, some players may prefer this small reduction in odds for the benefits of a single deck blackjack game.

eBook Available from Google Play, Amazon Kindle, Barnes and Noble Nook

Does this book tell you how to win? No. It does tell you how you might get the odds in your favor, and gives some strategy tables for some of the more common blackjack games played in casinos. It also tries to explain using math and simulations why getting the odds in your favor may indeed improve your play, but why no one we know of can guarantee winning all of the time.
