What is Double Diamond Blackjack?
Double Diamond blackjack is a blackjack game where a player is not
simply paid 1.5 to 1 on a players blackjack. In Double Diamond
Blackjack a player is paid only 1:1 - the same as any normal win on most
player's blackjacks. However, the payer is paid 2 to 1 if both the
cards of the players blackjacks are diamonds. Is this a good deal for
the player? Not by itself. The overall average pay for
player's blackjacks is then lower. The casinos sometimes try to
even things out a little and compensate the players in other ways - like
more options of play - to make up for some of the blackjack pay loss.
One of the favorites is called Super Fun 21 Single Deck.
What is Super Fun 21 Single Deck
Super Fun 21 Single Deck is a blackjack card option that uses the
double diamond blackjack pay as discussed above, but also allows the
player more options. Those options include single deck play, the
ability to double down any time, and the ability to surrender any time.
Hits after Aces are split are also allowed. Some people who have
played this game say that the extra rules make it a lot of fun, and some
even prefer it to blackjack.
